Installation Methods
Want to try out MouRO? There are a few methods you can pick from:
- Installer (6.6MB, last update: July 29, 2010):
This installer allows you to install MouRO in its own directory, or on top of an existing RO install. Notice that the larger files (*.grf, soundtrack) are not included (more info). - Installation Guide :
The installation guide is an in-depth document that describes the RO/MouRO installation methodology step by step. Recommended if you are not so knowledgeable about how server installations work and want to learn from scratch. - Quick Installation Guide :
For those who consider themselves RO veterans, the quick guide is a document explaining how to install MouRO with the minimum possible amount of detail.
If you don't even need a guide, the following is the list of all the available files:
- RagRay (to get RO + Renewal)
- RateMyServer (alternative to get RO)
- eAthena forums (alternative to get RO)
- RSU - RO Patcher Lite (kRO + Renewal patcher)
- MouRO clients (Kro Renewal) (1MB each, current version: 2010-07-07)
- adata.grf (4.2 MB, last update: January 23, 2010)
- bdata.grf (~1MB, last update: July 29, 2010)
- clientinfo.xml
- MouAI (Homunculus AI, version 2.0: Jan 23, 2009)
When all else fails, you can always ask for help in the forums.
Once Installed, to register for MouRO: Open Ragnarok Online. On the server login input your desired username followed by "_M or _F" and your password. E.g.: if you want to make an account with male characters with user name "john" and password "smith", you enter "john_M" in the username field "smith" in the password field. This only needs to be done when you first create your account, after this you do not need to use _M/_F.
There is no control panel of any kind, since they are not needed in 99% of the cases. If you need something specific done to your account, please ask in the forums.
After creating a character, you may want to go into the Training Grounds, so you can get a comprehensive guide to MouRO while you train your way to second class.
