WoE Changes

To make for a more interesting WoE experience, several factors have been adjusted.

First of all, there are two WoE modes: Classic and Monster Invasions. WoE times are also split in two timezones: Atlantic and European. Al De Baran and Prontera are the Atlantic Time (GTM-5) WoEs, while Geffen and Payon are the European (GMT+1) ones.

Schedule

  • Tuesdays/Thursdays: Monster invasions (21:00 to 22:30)
  • Saturdays: Payon and Prontera Classic WoE (21:00 to 22:30)
  • Sundays: Al De Baran and Geffen Classic WoE (21:00 to 22:30)

To simplify in EST (GTM -5) terms, WoE takes place at 3PM and 9PM.

Monster Invasions

  • Only the first castle of each town is used (those with the map name "*_cas01".
  • At the beginning of each WoE, the castle becomes invaded by monsters, which must be defeated before reaching the Emperium.
  • When the Emperium is defeated, that castle's WoE ends immediately, enemy players are warped out, and treasure chests according to the castle's economy are spawned around the Emperium's position.
  • The level of the infested monsters is 75 + 2 x [ Castle Defence ].

Classic WoE

  • If 30 minutes pass without anyone taking over the Emperium, the defending team is immediately proclaimed victorious.
  • When a takeover occurs, the timer is reset back to 30 minutes.
  • They have a maximum duration of 90 minutes.
  • Everyone's base level is temporarily boosted to the max (150) while within the castles. Stats are raised automatically to preserve the build, and any equips below +12 are boosted temporarily.
  • When a takeover occurs, no one is kicked out of the castle, but the defending party is penalized by having all their SP removed.
  • Allied guilds have access to the guild-manager and treasure room, which allows them to invest, as well as installing guardians.

Castles

  • Monster Invasion castles don't have a manager nor a kafra. Their defence and investment changes automatically with the outcome of each WoE: On a successful conquest its defence and economy go up by three, otherwise they go down by two.
  • On Classic WoE, a takeover incurs a defence/investment penalty of one point.
  • Regen speed is halved for everyone within.
  • When a character dies, they have 15 seconds to be resurrected before they are respawned automatically.
  • When resurrected in a castle, this will trigger the auto-revive sequence, meaning that SP is zapped and transferred to HP.
  • All flags can be used to warp to the castle, but this feature is disabled when any WoE is active.
  • Treasure chests do not spawn at 'midnight', instead they spawn at the time the standard WoE schedule ends.

Skill Changes

  • Running: Run speed is the same as agi up walking, with a reuse delay of 5 secs.
  • Kiri-Kage/Shadow Jump/High Jump: range is halved, has a reuse delay of 5 secs.
  • Backsliding: range reduced by 2, has a reuse delay of 5 secs.
  • Assumptio: Damage reduction is 25%
  • Teleport, Snap, Jump Kick, Charge Attack: Have a reuse delay of 5 secs.
  • Cure, Detoxify, Status Recovery: Have a cast time of 5 secs, and their granted immunity lasts 5 secs.

Guardian Changes

  • Guardian Research increases a guardians level by 10*Lv (this makes them level up the same way mobs do).
  • Castle defence increases their max Hp by 5*point%, their Sp by 2*point% and their def/mdef by point/5 and their def2/mdef2 by 2*point.
  • All guardians are detectors and boss type.
  • General Skills: Heal, Stop, Decrease Agi, Blood Drain, Energy Drain, Switch Element, Summon slaves, Teleport.
  • Archer Guardian Skills: Double Strafe, Arrows Shower, Sharp Shooting, Curse Attack, Dispel, Improve Concentration.
  • Knight Guardian Skills: Holy Cross, Grand Cross, Shield Boomerang, Silence Attack, Soul Burn, Reflect Shield.
  • Soldier Guardian Skills: Bash, Brandish Spear, Spear Boomerang, Stun Attack, Full Strip, Two Hand Quicken.
  • During WoE you can only summon one guardian every ten minutes, and they cost 25k to install each.

The Emperium

  • The Emperium is medium-size, no longer immune to skills, but is still immune to status changes (except when it casts on itself).
  • It has 2x times the HP, and an assortment of defensive skills.
  • Emperium skills: Heal, Potion Pitcher, Reflect Shield, Defender, Gospel, Change Element, Siege Mode.
  • Its max HP/SP also increases by 1% every 10 seconds from the moment it spawns, so the longer you wait the longer it'll take to defeat it.
  • 'Siege Mode' is a unique skill used only by the Emperium once they are under 50% life. What it does is quite simple... it recalls the current castle's guardians and/or MVPs next to the caster.

Miscellanous

  • If someone in the party is allied to the defending guild, all characters in that party are considered to be castle defenders.
  • Parties cannot be unmade/formed within the castles. But outsiders can be invited into them.
  • When you belong to a guild, on login you will be told when is the next WoE, as well as being notified if any WoEs are currently active.
  • @info woe can be used at any other time to check this same information.
  • During classic WoE, periodic broadcasts are performed within the castle to notify occupants of the remaining time.
  • Stepping into a castle during classic WoE will also print out the exact time remaining for that WoE.
