bdata update: Skill window translation.

Updated the bdata.grf file. This one corrects the skill window information so you can actually see the skill descriptions in english. It also makes the basic skills (Potion Pitcher, Resurrection, & Repair) show up in the extended skill-list view.

It is not perfect, however, as this grf still shows some problems for Super Novice classes, and the skill description is too long for many skills. So this will be updated again at some point in the future.

November 1st

More bug fixes. Hopefully in a week I will have more time to actually develop and play rather than just bug-fix.

November 01

  • Added back the castle flags that went misteriously missing from town.
  • Corrected a few cards that had 'SC_STAN' instead of 'SC_STUN' in their scripts (thus making them not work right).
  • Corrected the spawn coordinates for castle treasures, which particularly damaged Geffen's 2nd castle, as the coordinates used were invalid.

Bug fix, part II. Hopefully things will be a lot smoother now.

  • Now when a pet transfers their loot to their master while idle, the party item share rules are applied.
  • Corrected the display of a trailing slash in the monster's Hp/Sp display.
  • Corrected walk speed bonuses working backwards (reducing instead of increasing walk speed).
  • Corrected the High Wizard card's bonus script.
  • Corrected shield cards getting the 50% boost when compounded on 2H melee weapons.
  • Corrected mobs being able to give twice their exp (and MVP exp) when they are resurrected via Kaizel.

And as was to be expected, after a large update, large bugs are found :< Likely even more bugs will be found in the near future, but hopefully not as bad as these.

  • Fixed walk speed adjustments while dancing, as well as their duration.
  • Corrected guild castle settings not being triggered correctly for WoE
  • Corrected a bunch of item_db inconsistencies which caused things like preventing male Star Gladiators from using books.
  • Fixed Counter Stance not triggering on its own.

Finally... updated the server core to current eA stable, that is over half a year of updates, so it should be no wonder it took this long (the dates displayed here are the dates in which the updates were performed on the test server).

  • Updated the bdata.grf file.
  • @option 3 (ranged skill auto-spam) no longer works in versus maps.
  • Pneuma now has the default range, and a max level of 5. Rather than blocking all ranged physical damage, it reduces said damage by 45+5*lv%. You also gain an endure-effect against ranged attacks while in it. SP cost is 10+2*lv.
  • Skills that do not work when overweight now have said restriction applied to 90% OW
  • Fixed Taekwon stances triggering the kicks at level 1 rather than currently known level.
  • Now new characters start with a Novice Adventurer suit with 2 thara frog cards. Said armor was modified to be suitable to starters: 2 def, +20 def2/mdef2. On the first job change, characters receive the appropriate novice weapon to help them out, too.

October 17

  • Added the Moscovia warp data to the Kafras, as well as the main utility shop and U.G. wares shop.
  • Now you can pass an extra argument to @equip info to display the equipment and cards scripts (eg: @info equip yes/1).
  • Weapon cards compounded in two-handed melee weapons now get their effects boosted by 50%.

October 16

  • Updated core to R13298. Note that the underlying eA code has not been updated in a long time (over half a year), so there were significant updates on various areas of the code and scripts. A few bugs may exist, so watch out for them and report.
  • updated the mob_db and item_db.
  • Added the October 8 clients. It is a good idea to update, as these should include support for the latest mobs as well as headgear sprites, however, there are still no translations for the new skill window used.
  • Pets will stop dancing if their master goes too far away now.
